Hello, I'm Hector.
From a young age, I’ve felt a deep calling toward spiritual exploration. Along the way, I’ve explored meditation, plant medicine, mindful eating, and eventually found in yoga a key piece in the puzzle of inner growth.
My passion for skateboarding and bodyboarding taught me how to play with gravity, balance, and body awareness in space — building focus, resilience, and a deep physical connection that naturally flowed into my yoga practice.
I am also a nature lover. Being in contact with the ocean, the mountains, or the quiet of the forest is a form of meditation and a constant source of inspiration for me.
I also ventured into the world of visual arts, and over time I’ve come to realize that anything we do — when done with intention and presence — can become a form of art.
I’m originally from Caracas, Venezuela, and I now live in Tamarindo, Costa Rica with my beloved wife and daughter. I’ve worked in various yoga studios in both countries, and I have also brought yoga to communities through personal projects and meaningful collaborations, such as Yoga en los Barrios — a non-profit program offering yoga to underprivileged children in Venezuela.
For more than 10 years I taught daily at El Sabanero Yoga Retreats, which gave me the opportunity to share my experience with people from all over the world. These ongoing connections inspired me to create this website as a way to reach even more people — and to continue sharing the transformative power of yoga, wherever they may be.
